Practicums

SEU Arizona believes students should receive real, practical training that prepares them to fulfill God’s plan for their lives—not just sit in a classroom. That’s why SEU Arizona integrates hands-on learning through practicums and specialized tracks designed to build workplace-ready skills in ministry, leadership, media, business, and more. Students actively serve in real ministries and professional environments, gaining experience that directly supports their academic and career goals. Through this practical training, many SEU Arizona students may qualify for free course credit from Southeastern University, making their education both more affordable and more impactful.

Worship

Students in the Worship Practicum grow both spiritually and musically as they dive deep into the heart of worship. With hands-on opportunities to lead worship across Dream City’s valley campuses, students learn how to lead teams on and off stage, plan impactful services, and cultivate a lifestyle of worship. Through the college worship team, songwriting sessions, and access to a fully equipped music studio, students sharpen their craft while developing into confident, Spirit-led leaders who carry the presence of God with excellence and humility.

Young Adults

The Young Adults Practicum is vibrant, relational, and full of momentum—designed for students who want to invest in the lives of 18–29 year olds. Students become an active part of the Young Adults staff, helping plan services, lead Bible studies, organize special events, and create meaningful spaces for connection and growth. With opportunities to preach, disciple, and serve, this practicum equips students to lead with authenticity, build community, and spark revival in a generation hungry for purpose.

Creative Arts

The Fine Arts Practicum at SEU Arizona invites students into the vibrant world of creative artistry—where ministry and artistry intersect in powerful ways. Students get hands-on experience in producing creative elements for Dream City Church services, including illustrated sermons, human videos, drama, and more. Team members coach youth competing at the national Fine Arts Festival, lead talent camps, and play an integral role in the production of the monumental Celebration of Christmas—a Broadway-style performance featuring a full live orchestra, silk artists, aerial acrobats, live animals, and immersive creative storytelling.

Kids

The Kids Ministry Practicum prepares students to lead with joy, creativity, and purpose as they serve children from infancy through 5th grade. Students gain hands-on experience in classroom settings, large group services, and special events—learning how to teach the Bible in fun, engaging ways while building trust with both kids and parents. From leading worship to helping manage teams, this practicum shapes passionate leaders who can disciple the next generation with excellence and heart.

Youth

The Youth Ministry Practicum equips students to lead and disciple the next generation through hands-on ministry with 6th–12th graders. Students mentor teens, help run weekly youth services, and experience what it’s like to be part of a dynamic youth ministry team. As they grow in leadership, many students have the opportunity to preach, lead small groups, and shape the culture of youth ministry across Dream City Church campuses.
