Student Experience

One of our goals at SEU Arizona is to create an unmatched college experience full of excitement, authentic community, and new experiences.

Welcome Week

We kick off each fall semester with WELCOME WEEK! During this week, students have a ton of fun connecting with one another while playing games, eating lots of good food, and dreaming about what’s ahead. Some Welcome Week highlights include; Color Wars, Pool Parties, Delicious Food, Game Nights, Small Group Competitions and Arizona Adventures!

Spring Summit

At the beginning of each spring semester, we take all of our students on a retreat we call “Spring Summit”. For this trip, we escape the valley and head up north into the mountains. During this getaway our students get to relax, reflect on the previous year, dream about the future and enjoy time together while experiencing God on a deeper level.

Family Time

Once a month, we hit pause on the usual schedule and go all-in on fun, connection, and community. These special days are packed with meaningful moments designed to strengthen our family culture and give students the chance to build lifelong friendships. From ice skating and country dancing to paint nights and private movie theater rentals, every Family Time is a memory in the making—and a reminder that college should be more than just classes.

YA Nights at Dream City

Twice a month, Dream City Church hosts powerful young adult services—and they’re a core part of the SEU Arizona experience. These nights are all about authentic community, real conversations, Spirit-filled worship, and deep dives into God’s Word. It’s where faith gets fired up, friendships grow, and students find a place to belong.

“

Being here at SEU Arizona has changed my life in so many ways. Honestly the biggest thing being I never thought I'd come back to school after high school, but I felt like God was constantly affirming when He was telling me through others to go back to school. Being in a new season of life where everything changed... I left home, family, friends, familiarity and comfortability, I didn't know what to expect, but trusted God on a whim and believed I was going where I was meant to be. It's only been 10 months, but I've grown in many ways by being pushed out of my comfort zone, doing things and serving in places I had never thought I'd serve in while also being surrounded by a community of leaders and other college students that you can feel care about one another's health, life, struggles, and victories. Getting back into the groove of school and homework is honestly a bit wonky and I haven't changed much since highschool in the fact that I'm still not the biggest fan of it, but most probably feel that way about homework. Even with that, I'm enjoying my time with the people around me and taking advantage of the place that God has placed me to grow deeper with Him and with others and SEU Arizona has definitely been a solid rock in that process from me moving out here on my own with no idea what's to come.

In SEU AZ, I have learned so much about being a self starter! It’s not only a community and a college but a teacher of how to walk the Christian walk. The Christian walk needs people who know how to be disciplined, self starters! And this college has really helped me become responsible for my walk with Jesus, responsible for the relationships I have with people, and responsible for how excellently I serve those around me, in my work and ministries.

Because of the online classes with in-person educational elements, and the practicum format (and not to mention in a busy church), you also become very good at pivoting and adapting to whatever challenges, projects, events, and opportunities come your way!

I am hopeful that when I graduate, the healthy habits I have formed will stick and benefit me wherever I go next!
